Ita did everything right.
He studied hard and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Finance.
Leaving Nigeria, he travelled to the UK and completed a PhD in Entrepreneurship Development and International Business.
He thought that as a highly educated, driven individual, he would have no problems landing his dream job.
But despite his best efforts, he could not find suitable work.
The positions offered to him were far below his qualifications and capabilities.
Times were tough. He had a young family to feed, including a son with special needs. To make matters worse, he had tremendous obstacles obtaining ‘indefinite leave to remain’ in the UK. After spending thousands in lawyers’ fees and family visas, it was heart-breaking.
After lecturing at Oxford Brookes University for two sessions, he knew he couldn’t be the only person facing these seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Having learned the hard way, he dedicated himself to teaching other highly educated international professionals how to land their dream jobs in the UK.
Today, Ita coaches candidates at Oxford Brookes University, the University of East London, the University of Bristol, the University of the West of England, the University of Birmingham, and University of Bedfordshire helping students and graduates obtain the careers they deserve.

Prior to his careers services experience at NE Careers Connect, Dr Ita John lectured in the university for eight years. In the last three years, he has recruited for the London .Net Developers IT market at Star Jobs Recruitment and placed 387+ professionals, especially from diverse ethnic communities, in top organisations. He manages MyCVWriters as well.
